AUTO INSURANCE
The personal auto insurance policy is designed to protect you and your automobile in case of an accident, which involves injuries, property damage, and damage to your car.

UNINSURED MOTORISTS
This coverage pays for expenses that you or a passenger incur as a result of an injury caused by an uninsured motorist, who is held liable. Payment is made up to the policy amount.

UNDERINSURED MOTORISTS
This coverage pays for injuries you and your passengers incur as a result of an accident with  another driver who is insured (and held liable) but does not carry enough coverage to pay for your injuries.  This coverage pays the difference between the amount  you are entitled to receive for an injury and the actual amount of insurance carried by the driver responsible for your injuries.

COMPREHENSIVE
Optional Coverage
This coverage pays for loss or damage (other than collision) to an insured auto when caused by any direct loss other than collision or upset or mechanical breakdown.  It pays  up to actual cash value of your auto minus the deductible amount you select.

COLLISION
Optional Coverage
This coverage pays for loss by collision with any object or upset of the auto.  It pays up to the actual cash value of the vehicle minus the deductible amount you select.
OPTIONAL COVERAGES

TOWING AND ROAD SERVICE
This coverage pays for emergency towing or on the road service.  Standard amounts available are $50, $75 or $100 dollars per occurrence.

RENTAL EXPENSE
In the event your auto is damaged in an accident this coverage will pay for a replacement car while yours is being repaired.  Usually, a set amount of $30 per day for a maximum off 30 days.

AUTO LEASE COVERAGE
This coverage sometimes called "GAP" coverage is for leased vehicles or vehicles, which are financed over an extended period of time.  When vehicles are leased or financed for a longer than normal time, it is possible for a vehicle to be worth less than what is owed for it during the lease or finance period.  A person could get into the situation where they would actually owe more for the vehicle than what the insurance company will pay for it, which is the market value.  This coverage will pay that difference. The cost is minimal and should be carried if leasing or financing over a longer than normal time.

NOTE: This is not a policy nor is it meant to be one.  It is a brief overview of the actual policy.
Please consult your insurance contract for actual terms and conditions.

BODILY INJURY LIABILITY
This coverage provides protection if you have an accident while driving your auto and you injure others and are held responsible.  This coverage includes such expenses as medical bills and lost wages. You are covered up to the policy limit for one individual, and for an increased limit for an accident injuring two or more people.

PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY
This coverage provides protection if you have an accident while is driving your auto and cause damage to property of others.  This includes property such as an autos, buildings, etc. You are covered up to the policy limit for each separate occurrence.

MEDICAL PAYMENTS
This coverage provides protection in the event of an accident and you or your passengers are injured.  This covers such expenses as medical and surgical bills up to the policy limit, regardless of who is at fault.  This coverage will also help fill in certain coverage gaps found in a separate personal or family health plan.  Of course if a passenger (other than a family member) brings a lawsuit against you, your Bodily Injury Liability would protect you.
How Your Auto Insurance Coverage Protects You . . . .
To Keep In  Mind...

Higher Liability Limits Are Your Best Protection
Although, in the State of Illinois the required minimum coverage for bodily injury is $20,000 per person injured in any one accident and $40,000 for all persons injured in any one accident; the required minimum coverage for property damage is $15,000 for injury to or the destruction of property of others in any one accident
-- what could happen to you if you seriously injured another party? In today's society you can bet that you will be appearing before the judge pleading your case.  If you injure someone with your vehicle, you could be sued for a lot of money.  The amount of Liability coverage you carry should be high enough to protect your assets in the event of an accident.  It is recommended, by most experts, a bodily injury liability limit of at least $100,000 / $300,000, but that may not be enough. Even in this economy, lowering your auto insurance coverage is not the place to start in order to save a few dollars. If you own a house... you could lose it in a lawsuit if your insurance coverage is insufficient.  Consider additional coverage with a Personal Umbrella policy.  The greater the value of your assets, the more you stand to lose, so you need to buy liability insurance appropriate to the value of your assets.
Motorcycle Insurance
Motorcycle coverage is similar to auto. If you are looking to purchase a motorcycle we suggest calling our agency for a quote before you make your purchase.  Your age, size of the motorcycle (cc's), and model of motorcycle will be key factors in your quote.  Inform your agent if you have a motorcycle license or only a permit, if you are an experienced rider and have had previous insurance in force for one year, and if you would need increased coverage on your bike for customer parts or equipment.
